Dubai Esports & Games Festival 2026 is returning with an expanded edition this year, transforming Dubai into a citywide gaming and entertainment hub from May 22 to June 7.
Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, part of Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, the annual festival continues to grow as one of the region’s biggest celebrations of esports, gaming, digital culture, and interactive entertainment.
GameExpo Returns in June
One of the biggest highlights of the festival, GameExpo 2026, will take place from June 5 to 7, bringing together gaming fans, creators, esports competitions, immersive experiences, cosplay events, and family-friendly attractions.
Early-bird tickets are now available starting from AED 10, with organisers also confirming free parking for up to six hours for GameExpo attendees.
The extended festival schedule is designed to give residents and visitors more flexibility during the Eid period while expanding the number of experiences and activities available across the city.
New Experiences and Gaming Attractions
This year’s edition introduces several new attractions and themed experiences, including:
- Neo Tokyo District for anime fans
- Battle Arena interactive gaming experiences
- Velocity Garage racing simulators
- the return of the Dubai Cosplay Championship
- esports tournaments and creator events
The festival also aligns with the UAE’s “Year of the Family” initiative by offering experiences designed for all age groups and encouraging multi-generational participation.
Education & Gaming Summit Debuts
For the first time, DEF will also host the Education & Gaming Summit 2026 on June 4.
The summit aims to connect students, universities, and gaming industry professionals while helping young people explore future career opportunities in gaming, esports, technology, and digital media.
Dubai Continues to Grow as a Gaming Hub
Over the past few years, Dubai has continued investing heavily in gaming, esports, and digital entertainment as part of its broader innovation and creative economy strategy.
DEF has become one of the city’s flagship technology and entertainment events, attracting gamers, developers, creators, brands, and families from across the region and internationally.
More announcements and event details are expected in the coming weeks ahead of the festival launch.
