Pink Caravan continues breast cancer awareness drive across UAE in October with new partner GulfTenner

The Pink Caravan campaign, an initiative by the Friends of Cancer Patients Association, is continuing its breast cancer awareness programme “We’ve Got Plans” throughout October, aligned with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The initiative is taking place across the United Arab Emirates, according to organizers, with the aim of strengthening public awareness of breast health and encouraging regular screenings.

In a statement dated 23 October 2026, the association said the campaign runs for the month of October, urging communities to make time for check-ups rather than delaying routine examinations. The message of the drive, organizers said, focuses on the idea that while people plan for the future in areas such as family and work, they may sometimes overlook planning for their health.

Partners and sponsors support the outreach

The Pink Caravan said its efforts are supported by a group of sponsors and community institutions, including GulfTenner, described as a new key partner for this year. It also said Emirates Hall of Oil (نفط الهلال) continues as a key partner.

The campaign credited additional support to a long list of organizations, including Arade, Inovo Management, and the National SNOOK Foundation (مؤسسة نفط الشارقة الوطنية), as well as Sultan bin Ali Al Owais Properties, Eurocar, and Sharjah Media City (Shams). Other listed supporters include Al Marwan Group, Habib Bank, Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA), Zallal, Sharjah Vintage Cars Club, and the Sharjah Museums Authority.

Organizers said the Sharjah Centre for Voluntary Work is also supporting the campaign as a volunteer partner, with volunteers assisting in welcoming visitors and helping create what it called a distinctive interactive experience.

Association links the campaign to its “Kashf” programme

The campaign said it falls under the “Kashf” breast cancer early detection programme run by the Friends of Cancer Patients Association. The association said the initiative works to spread awareness about breast health and facilitate access to screening and early detection services across the UAE.

Organizers also described the campaign as ongoing year-round through awareness efforts aimed at encouraging individuals to take screenings appropriate to their ages and health needs, and to make proactive decisions regarding their wellbeing.

Statement from Aisha Al Mal

The association quoted Aisha Al Mal, manager of the Friends of Cancer Patients Association, saying that the “We’ve Got Plans” message emphasizes that the future people aspire to begins with the steps taken today, and that caring for one’s health should be a core part of long-term plans.

She said the association is grateful to sponsors and partners for supporting the campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, enabling the message to reach a wider segment of society and encouraging more individuals to set aside time for routine screenings, as well as encouraging families and loved ones to take the same step.

Pink shop fundraising component

In addition to public outreach, the association said community members can support the campaign by purchasing through the Pink Store online shop run by the Friends of Cancer Patients Association. The statement said the shop offers products including pins, keychains, bracelets, and candles, with proceeds directed to support cancer patients and their families.
