California streetwear retailer Pacsun has opened a new store at Assima Mall in Kuwait, marking its debut in the country. The outlet officially opened to the public on 15 October, with a separate launch event held on 22 October featuring live music, special guests and visitor activities.
According to the company, the Kuwait launch included a performance by Kuwaiti singer Essa Al Marzouq and a live DJ set from Kuwait-based DJ Jouli Rie. Attendees also received complimentary matcha drinks from Matcha Matcha, along with access to a dedicated photobooth, giveaways and additional in-store activities.
Pacsun said the event introduced its “latest collections” to shoppers through a mix of music and interactive experiences tied to its youth culture positioning. The release also described a creative element linked to the brand’s Launch Lab initiative, previously introduced during Pacsun’s first international store launch. For Kuwait, the company said the activation was adapted at smaller scale and involved local Gen Z creatives contributing to the opening’s visuals, content and activation ideas.
The new store is described as the brand’s third regional location, and its first outside the UAE. Pacsun said its Kuwait opening follows additional openings across the Gulf Cooperation Council that began earlier in 2026. The company stated that its international debut was at Mall of the Emirates in May 2026, after which it announced that the store welcomed over 5,000 visitors within its first three days. Pacsun also said it opened a Dubai Mall store on 14 October, with its official launch event planned for 16 October.
Beyond the store openings, Pacsun’s press materials described its product mix at Assima Mall, citing denim, graphic tees, hoodies, swimwear and accessories, along with seasonal collections. The retailer also noted that it was bringing styles and products associated with its US presence to Kuwaiti shoppers.
Pacsun said it was founded in 1980 in California and that it has built its identity around youth culture, with an emphasis on streetwear and collaborations spanning music, art and sport.
Majid Al Futtaim, the diversified lifestyle group also referenced in the release, presented its broader retail and entertainment footprint and regional operations, along with its claims regarding the size of its customer base and loyalty programme, SHARE.
No additional details about Assima Mall’s store footprint, opening hours or commercial terms were included in the release.
