Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the 12th edition of Dubai Design Week, a design festival held at Dubai Design District (d3) from 3 to 8 November 2026.
Dubai Media Office says the edition brings together designers, architects and creative practitioners from more than 50 countries, and positions the event as a platform to exchange ideas and connect regional talent with international audiences.
The festival programme, described as multidisciplinary, includes more than 40 installations, exhibitions, commissions and activations, alongside talks and workshops.
Organisers say Dubai Design Week 2026 features a range of cultural and creative themes, including the relationship between design, cultural heritage and contemporary practice.
Dubai Culture and Arts Authority says highlighted components include Downtown Design (described as presenting hundreds of brands and designers), and The Forum talk series with international and regional practitioners.
Other programme elements mentioned in the release include the UAE Designer Exhibition, a commissioning programme for creative practitioners across Asia and Africa, and a design competition for public spaces.
Dubai Media Office also notes a marketplace for independent makers and artisans, plus hands-on workshops aimed at visitors of different ages.
