Profit recorded despite regional disruption and higher fuel costs
Emirates Group has announced its financial results for the first six months of 2026-27, reporting a profit before tax of AED 4.1 billion (US$ 1.1 billion).
In the update shared by Dubai Media Office, the Group says profit after tax reached AED 3.6 billion (US$ 1.0 billion), down 66% year-on-year, attributing the decline to the full six-month impact of regional conflict and high fuel costs.
Emirates Group also reported EBITDA of AED 12.5 billion (US$ 3.4 billion) for the first half, describing it as 41% lower than the comparable period last year.
Revenue for the six-month period was stated at AED 66.2 billion (US$ 18.0 billion), down 12% year-on-year. The Group said it closed the first half with a cash position of AED 54.1 billion (US$ 14.7 billion) as at 30 September 2026.
Dubai Media Office’s release highlights that the Group did not pause investment programmes, referencing ongoing fleet expansion and initiatives across Emirates, dnata and Emirates’ cargo operations. It also noted changes in operating performance and capacity compared with the previous year.
