Specialty coffee contest returns for its 10th UAE edition

Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) says it will host the 10th edition of the UAE AeroPress Championship from 12 to 14 November at its Almas Tower in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, bringing together 252 competitors from across the seven emirates.

The three-day specialty coffee competition is organised by Dubai-based Mokha 1450 in conjunction with the World AeroPress Championships and will run under the theme “United and Strong.”

According to DMCC, the event forms part of the wider UAE specialty coffee calendar and is positioned as a platform for brewing excellence, professional development and community engagement. The championship also includes a route for competitors to represent the UAE at the World AeroPress Championship in Mexico City on 6 December 2026.

DMCC says the championship will feature two regional rounds before a national final. Competitors will be selected through regional competitions on 12 November and 13 November, followed by a national final on 14 November.

The statement adds that the championship is free and open to the public, with competitions starting at 6pm each evening, inviting visitors to watch brewing challenges and meet participants.
