Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment has signed a new multi-year partnership with Al Ghurair aimed at expanding Dubai’s growing calendar of festivals, entertainment experiences, and community events across the city.
The three-year agreement, running from 2026 through 2029, strengthens collaboration between the public and private sectors as Dubai continues investing in large-scale lifestyle, tourism, gaming, wellness, and retail experiences.
Partnership Covers Major Dubai Festivals and Events
Under the agreement, Al Ghurair will become a key partner across several of Dubai’s flagship events and festivals, including:
- Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF)
- Dubai Esports & Games Festival (DEF)
- Ramadan Street Food Festival
- Modesh World
- Dubai Fitness Challenge
- Dubai Ride
The partnership will also include support for community-focused fitness activations and citywide entertainment experiences designed for residents and international visitors.
Dubai officials say the collaboration supports broader efforts to strengthen the city’s position as a global destination for tourism, entertainment, retail, esports, and lifestyle experiences.
Dubai Continues Expanding Its Events Economy
Dubai’s events and festival ecosystem has grown significantly in recent years, becoming an increasingly important contributor to tourism, retail activity, hospitality, and the wider economy.
Large-scale experiences such as DSF, DEF, and Dubai Fitness Challenge continue attracting both international tourists and local audiences, while helping reinforce Dubai’s global image as a year-round events destination.
The agreement also aligns with the goals of Dubai’s D33 economic agenda, which focuses on accelerating economic growth, innovation, and quality-of-life initiatives across the emirate.
Gaming, Wellness, Retail and Entertainment Remain Key Focus Areas
The collaboration highlights Dubai’s growing emphasis on emerging sectors including esports, gaming, experiential retail, and wellness tourism.
Upcoming editions of the Dubai Esports & Games Festival are expected to feature expanded gaming experiences, interactive activations, and youth-focused entertainment concepts, while Dubai Fitness Challenge continues promoting health and community participation across the city.
Officials from both organisations described the agreement as part of a long-term strategy to create more immersive and accessible experiences for residents and visitors throughout the year.
