Reported: 7 November 2026
Startups and founders featured by Emirates247 say the UAE is increasingly attracting international teams developing new tech products, with ideas moving from countries including Italy, Tunisia and Sri Lanka to launch and scale in Dubai and Ajman.
The report links the momentum to entrepreneurship and investment activity supported by the Thara Foundation, including a startup exhibition held “recently” and described as a showcase for projects brought in from outside the UAE.
What was showcased
Among the innovations highlighted were smart shoes using onboard technologies to measure health-related indicators, and AI-powered prosthetic limbs supported by 3D printing and designed to adapt as children grow. Other projects included a virtual pet clinic for remote consultations, a platform for buying used textbooks, and a digital wallet aimed at students and micro-entrepreneurs.
Community and investment focus
Emirates247 also says Ajman Chamber organised the first Thara Connect forum, coinciding with the launch of a Thara investment and entrepreneurship system. The forum included a startup competition where founders pitched to investors and experts.
