Vilebrequin launches second limited-edition Abu Dhabi capsule inspired by Saadiyat Island biodiversity

French swimwear and resortwear brand Vilebrequin has unveiled a second limited-edition capsule dedicated to Abu Dhabi, drawing inspiration from the emirate’s marine life and protected coastal areas, according to the company.

The capsule, described by Vilebrequin as combining the brand’s “resort style” with themes of local biodiversity and marine conservation, includes swimwear and ready-to-wear pieces for men, women and children.

Design inspiration from Abu Dhabi’s coastline

Vilebrequin says the collection takes cues from the protected shores of Saadiyat Island and from underwater ecosystems in the region. The brand describes fluid patterning and sun-washed tones that aim to reflect sea movement and light.

At the center of the range is Vilebrequin’s iconic turtle motif, which the company says has been reimagined using details inspired by local biodiversity.

Student-led conservation concept behind the capsule

The initiative behind the capsule is linked to Save The Tides, a program Vilebrequin says invited university students across Abu Dhabi to explore the relationship between fashion and marine conservation.

According to the announcement, the winning design was created by Islay Bayar of New York University Abu Dhabi, and serves as the foundation for the exclusive capsule.

Vilebrequin frames the collaboration as more than a fashion release, describing it as a shared focus on creativity, environmental awareness and the role of younger generations in supporting a more sustainable future for fashion and ocean conservation.

When and where to buy

The limited-edition Vilebrequin x Abu Dhabi capsule is scheduled to be available from 14 October 2026. Vilebrequin says it will be sold at selected Vilebrequin stores worldwide and online via the Hamac website and Vilebrequin.com.

In addition to the capsule launch information, the release notes that Hamac, described as a UAE retailer of premium beachwear and accessories, was established in Dubai in 1999.
