Reported: 4 November 2026
Second transitional period expected to bring cooler nights
Report date: 4 November 2026
The UAE National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast that maximum and minimum temperatures in November could decrease by 4 to 6 degrees compared with October.
The report attributes the change to seasonal atmospheric patterns, including the sun appearing to move south and the gradual extension of the Siberian high-pressure system affecting the region.
It describes November as part of the country’s second transitional period, with moderate daytime conditions and colder nights. NCM said cold conditions may occur at times, particularly at night in mountainous and some inland areas.
Cloud and fog conditions possible in parts of the country
NCM also said surface low-pressure systems extending from the Red Sea and from the east may increase cloud cover, and cumulonimbus clouds could develop over some areas, especially in the eastern regions, if conditions align with low-pressure systems aloft.
Prevailing winds are expected to be southeasterly in the morning, turning westerly to northwesterly during the day. The report added that relative humidity is expected to rise, especially early in the morning, creating opportunities for light to dense fog in scattered areas.
