Tenancy actions in a single digital journey
2 November 2026
Dubai Land Department (DLD) has launched an enhanced Ejari service through the DubaiNow app, designed to streamline tenancy procedures and issue Ejari certificates immediately after contract approval.
As reported, the upgraded digital journey allows customers to create and register tenancy contracts through a single process. The report says Ejari certificates are issued straight away once approvals are completed.
DLD also says customers can renew or cancel contracts via the same digital flow, using UAE PASS to connect landlords and tenants securely.
Linking Ejari with DEWA deposit and activation
The enhanced service is also reported to allow users to pay the DEWA security deposit inside the Ejari journey, enabling electricity and water services activation for the property through the same connected process.
Roughly framed as part of Dubai’s wider push for integrated government services, DLD says the update reflects cooperation with DEWA and supports the “Services 360” policy aimed at delivering seamless, customer-centred experiences across related services.
