Reported: 5 November 2026
The Dubai Land Department has launched a “Rent Now, Pay Later” initiative for residential tenants, offered through Emirates NBD credit cards, the department said.
How the service is described
The initiative is designed so tenants can pay annual rent in monthly instalments over six or 12 months, while landlords receive the agreed amount covered by the service upfront.
According to the announcement, tenants’ instalment plans do not include security deposit amounts. Participation is described as subject to Emirates NBD eligibility and credit assessment, and the department says approval is not guaranteed at initial checks.
- The landlord creates or renews a residential tenancy contract via the Dubai REST app
- The landlord selects the service and provides IBAN and account details
- The tenant receives an offer to review and approve contract details before payment
- Transactions are paid using an eligible Emirates NBD credit card
The department also said that activation begins with the landlord and that service fees apply, while Ejari is issued as part of the process.
