Reported: 7 November 2026
Dubai Police has launched a traffic safety awareness competition via the Traffic Safety Platform, aiming to educate residents about common causes of crashes and encourage safer driving habits.
The initiative, presented by the General Department of Traffic alongside the Esaad Card Centre, will run for five weeks and includes 10 questions based on traffic studies. Topics mentioned in the announcement cover behaviours such as failing to keep a safe distance between vehicles, speeding, and unsafe roadside stopping.
Dubai Police said the programme is designed to strengthen community participation in road safety by helping the public test their knowledge and identify misconceptions through an interactive format.
After the competition period, an electronic draw will select five winners. The winners will receive an Esaad card, which provides privileges and discounts across 10 sectors, according to the organisers.
How to take part
Registration and the competition entry are available on the Traffic Safety Platform at amanroads.gov.ae. The platform also offers awareness messages through videos and text content, along with additional campaigns and competitions.
Officials from Esaad and the Traffic Education Department said the focus is on preventing accidents by recognising dangerous behaviours and reinforcing compliance with traffic rules.
