His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced the launch of the Annual Government Challenge, a new initiative for UAE Government employees and teams, introduced alongside the start of UAE Innovation Month.
According to the announcement reported by Emirates247, the first edition will focus on assistive artificial intelligence, with the top projects and teams set to be honoured.
The challenge is positioned as a platform to encourage “bold” and unconventional ideas that create real impact across government services, operations and projects. The initiative is aimed at drawing on internal expertise from government cadres and talents to elevate how public work is delivered.
Emirates247 reports that the event will recognise the top nine government projects and teams in its first round, with organisers framing the programme around practical outcomes and measurable improvement.
As reported, the initiative will run under the umbrella of wider innovation efforts during UAE Innovation Month, reflecting a broader push for adoption of emerging technologies within government.
